The Pencil Duck (Thundercat) STL Pack gives you the digital files you need to build your own RC version of one of the most recognisable Nau-t-Cat designs.

Designed for FDM 3D printing and RC boat components, this pack includes the outboard STL files, so you can build the complete boat without needing to purchase the outboard design separately.

What you would need to complete this build

  • 2850 Brushless motor (3000-4000kv)
  • TFL Gearbox 
  • 4mm Coupler 
  • 4mm Shaft (~25mm)
  • 1.6mm Stainless Steel pushrod, connector and boot
  • Propeller of choice (3514 recommended) 
  • M2 Bolts and nuts
  • M3 x 8mm Stainless Steel Allen bolts x2
  • M3 x 16mm Stainless Steel Allen bolts and nuts x4
  • 15kg Servo (Waterproof)
  • Waterproof and water-cooled ESC (60A-90A)
  • Radio and receiver 
  • 2S Lipo Battery

Recommended Print Settings

  • Material: PETG, ABS or ASA
  • Walls: 2 
  • Infill: 5%
  • Supports: Tree supports recommended where required
  • Seal the entire boat with thin laminating epoxy after assembly 

Important

This is a DIGITAL PRODUCT. No physical boat, printed parts, hardware, electronics, motor, ESC, servo, radio system, battery or charger will be shipped.

You will need access to a suitable FDM 3D printer and the appropriate RC components to complete the boat.

Personal Use Licence

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to download and 3D print the files for your own use.

You may not resell, share, redistribute, upload, publish or otherwise provide the digital files to another person. The files may not be used to manufacture boats or components for commercial resale or to provide a commercial 3D-printing service without written permission from Nau-t-Cat RC Boats / EXTRUD3D Pty Ltd.

The digital files remain the intellectual property of Nau-t-Cat RC Boats / EXTRUD3D Pty Ltd. Purchase of the files does not transfer ownership or copyright.

Design Development

As with all Nau-t-Cat RC Boats designs, this model is developed through practical testing and may be refined or updated as we continue to test and improve the design.
